$35 Drum OR Dance Class/6 week Series

If you can walk you can Dance! Your heart beats Rhythm!
These classes will introduce you to the basics of Traditional West African Dancing and Drumming. They will be at a beginning level; so no experience is necessary. If you don’t have a drum we can provide one for the class.

Sharing Traditional World Rhythms, Dance, with Our Community!
Drum Central, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization focused on building community through rhythm. We support the idea that rhythm, song, and movement should be part of our daily lives, and that a community with an active rhythm culture is a healthy community. We facilitate classes, performances, workshops, drum circles, performances, and host Drumming and Dance workshops featuring
World-renowned master teachers.Our current projects include:
• Beginning drum and dance classes.
• Master Drummer and Dancer Workshops
(Currently featuring Manimou Camera - 3 times a year)
• The free Drum and Dance Class Dome at Hyde Park Street Fair.
•A drum and dance program for refugee and at risk youth. (In Development: )
• Fundraising through private donation and performance ensemble income allows us to keep offering these above mentioned programs to the community and also contributes to keeping our drums in shape with fresh heads, covers the costs of overhead expenses and liability insurance for our classes and events.
